Miley Cyrus is not the queen of teenage stars for nothing.
The former Disney Star has been grabbing headlines for everything other than for what she does best - singing. The 19-year-old singer and actress gave her fans something to cheer about when she released her second cover from her "Backyard session" collection.
Cyrus performed a cover of "Look What They've Done To My Song," a Melanie Safka number that was first popularized in 1970. The song has a beautiful feel to it and Cyrus proves yet again how talented she is.
Cyrus released her cover of "Lilac Wine," which was just as beautiful and received just as much appreciation, if not more.
The Miami New Times said the cover was, "well beyond [Miley's] young years."
MTV gushed, "Miley, you NAILED IT! We will absolutely never doubt you again."
Cyrus took to her twitter account to thank everyone for all their love and support. She tweeted, "been getting so much love on lilac wine :) so happy! laying in bed thanking the universe for being so kind ❤"
Cyrus also confirmed her new single through twitter, "How do y'all feel about me confirming a single for this year!!!!"
"I'm really, really excited to put out new music and look different," Cyrus told Access Hollywod. "I've got so much going with this record, this record's going to, like, kill me.
"I'm really excited to get obviously married, but I kind of already feel married. I know we're forever, and I don't really need a [piece of] paper right now."
While Cyrus hasn't given her fans a sneak peek into what the record is all about and what the music is going to be like, she assures her audiences that "it's different."
