Matt Bomer has finally responded to the endless "Fifty Shades of Grey" casting rumors. ET Online caught up with the "White Collar" actor to find out what he thought about the recent petition demanding E.L. James replace Charlie Hunnam with Bomer.

The 35-year-old actor hasn't really responded to any of the casting rumors and it seems like he isn't taking the petition too seriously.

"I'm so grateful for the fans and touched," Bomer told ET. "I'm looking forward to seeing the movie with Charlie and Dakota."

So there you have it "Fifty Shades" fans. Not only is Bomer making it pretty clear that he won't be in the movie, he also hinted that there is nothing wrong with the casting decision. He has been a fan-favorite ever since casting rumors began circulating.

On Labor Day, James announced via Twitter the official actors to play Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele would be Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson. Almost immediately fans began boycotting the decision.

A couple hours after the announcement a petition was started on change.org by @dontouchmypatch. The petition which currently has over 58,000 signatures calls for Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel to replace Hunnam and Johnson as the lead kinky couple.

"Matt Bomer is the PERFECT DESCRIPTION OF CHRISTIAN GREY AND ALEXIS BLEDEL IS THE PERFECT ACTRESS TO REPRESENT ANASTASIA STEELE and if THEY ARE NOT, NOBODY WILL BE," the petition reads. "And I read the whole trilogy and I can assure that Matt is the perfect actor for this movie and Alexis too. So please PLEASE, all of the GREYsessed and Bomerettes in the world NEEED those actors. They always will be for us the Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. WE CAN DO ANYTHING GUYS. ANYTHING."

Not everyone was unhappy with the decision, however. Some fans are encouraging people to give Hunnam and Johnson a chance. A source told Hollywood Life that the "Ben and Kate" actress has heard all the negative comments but is doing her best to ignore them.

"Dakota's doing her best not to let all the mean comments get to her because she knows that it goes with the territory but still, some of the things people have been saying are pretty awful - especially the stuff about her looks," a source said. "Thank God they're being just as awful about Charlie [Hunnam] because at least she's not alone. They're bonding over it and laughing about it. She's sensitive so obviously it hurts, but at the end of the day this role is a dream come true for her. She really wants to do an amazing job and prove all the haters wrong."
