Jesse and Kelly Cottle's Heartfelt Picture Of Marine Amputee On His Wife's Back Goes Viral (PHOTO)

A picture of Jesse Cottle, who lost both of his legs while serving in Afghanistan, being carried on his wife Kelly's back has warmed hearts across the Internet.

The heartfelt photograph was taken by photographer Sarah Ledford of ShutterHappy Photography, according to The Huffington Post. Ledford said once she posted the picture on Facebook, users quickly began sharing the image.

"The picture just blew up, America just fell in love with Jesse and Kelly," she said.

Jesse became an amputee in 2009 after a bomb explosion. While he was in recovery in San Diego, he met his Kelly, who was a swimmer for Boise State University at the time.

Last year, Jesse and Kelly married.

"It's cool because we represent a lot of people, couples that are going through the same thing and so it's just an honor to be able to represent that," Kelly told KTVB.

On the Facebook page for ShutterHappy Photography, the picture has 15,320 likes and over 1,000 comments. People from all over the country have wished them well.

"How wonderful! Thank you for your service! You are very inspirational!! May God bless y'all with many years together!!!" said Rachel Huss.

On Twitter, users have called the couple "inspirational."

Multiple social media accounts for Seal of Honor, a website decided to the late Lt. Michael P. Murphy who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, reposted the photo and called their marriage a "wonderful love story."

Ledford also included a brief message of thanks and support on her company's Facebook page:

"Welcome to all the new fans and thank you so much for your outpouring of love for my work and for showing so much respect for the Cottle's...Words can not express my gratitude on behalf of myself and my clients. I feel humbled that God used my work to spread such a positive message across the nation."
