"Empire" has added another A-list actor to join the growing list of incredible talent set to guest star this upcoming season. Marisa Tomei will join the cast in the recurring role of billionaire Mimi Whiteman, according to Deadline.

The demanding venture capitalist will soon get involved with the Lyon family drama. She is a Forbes list billionairess as well as a lover of hip hop music, social trends, high-end fashion and beautiful women.

The Fox hip hop drama already has Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz lined up for season two, which started shooting last week. The record-breaking first season featured appearances by Jennifer Hudson, Courtney Love, Naomi Campbell, Gladys Knight and Snoop Dogg.

"Empire" stars Terrence Howard as Lucious Lyon and Taraji P. Henson as his ex-wife, Cookie. Lee Daniels and Danny Strong co-created the show.

Tomei last appeared on TV in the FX series "Rescue Me." She's also developing an HBO miniseries about Gloria Steinem and will play the feminist icon. Her next big screen projects include a small part in "Trainwreck" next month and "Love the Coopers" on Nov. 13.

"Empire" returns for season two on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
