The biggest names in Hollywood showed up for the 2014 Oscars on Sunday, Mar. 2. While the awards ceremony honored the best in the film industry, the stars stunned on the red carpet before entering the venue. It seems like black was the color of choice for the evening, with several actress including Glenn Close and Emma Watson, effortlessly nailing the look.

Several other A-listers chose to add a little color like Viola Davis in a green Escala gown and Kevin Spacey in a navy blue tuxedo suit. We piled together a list of our favorite red carpet fashions at the 86th annual Academy Awards.

Lupita Nyong'o dressed to impress in an pale blue, custom-made Prada gown with a deep v-neck. The color looked amazing against her skin tone. The "12 Years a Slave" actress paired the gown with a skinny headband.

According to Yahoo Lifestyle, she chose the dress because the blue reminded her of her native Nairobi.

Actress Penelope Cruz went with a light pink Giambattista Valli Haute Couture, one-shouldered gown with a black belt. The feminine dress was perfect for the evening.

Amy Adams looked gorgeous in a navy blue dress by Gucci. The "American Hustle" actress paired it with Tiffany & Co. earrings and additional jewels by Solange Azagury-Partridge.

Jared Leto looked cool in a Saint Laurent white tuxedo jacket, black pants and a red bow tie. The "Dallas Buyers Club" actor kept his long, ombre locks for the evening as well.

"Fruitvale Station" actor Michel B. Jordan also rocked the red carpet and looked handsome in a black head-to-toe Givenchy suit. He paired it with black dress shoes with plated metal that gave the look a young and funky vibe.

Jennifer Lawrence hasn't had many red carpet misses this award season and looked classic in a red Dior dress with a peplum details. She paired it with a statement necklace that hung in the back.

Last but not least on our best dressed list is actress Anne Hathaway in a black halter dress by Gucci. The gown was complete with diamond studs at the top and had a very elegant feel.
