Chinese consumer electronics group Meizu has been in the news lately, thanks to its upcoming flagship device Meizu Pro 6s.
While there are rumours that another phone Meizu Pro 7 is also in the line, all one can learn from the inside source is that the plan for the Pro 7 potentially equipped with the Exynos 8890 chip is all but scrapped for the moment.
This was confirmed by the VP of Meizu himself where he also revealed the plans for their next smartphone. While the former news did disappoint some fans, they still have some optimism to hold for.
The Meizu Pro 6s is nothing but a minor replacement to their popular smartphone Pro 6 which the smartphone world well received which received a lot of praise for its fantastic performance and design and also its hardware specifications.
Li Nan, VP at Meizu also revealed that the cancellation for the Pro 7 (or also was known as Pro 6s Plus) was cancelled to its 4G networking policy but it was put down right there without going too much into its details.
According to popular phone encyclopaedia site GSMArena, the launch date for the Pro 6S is supposedly on November 3, which is hardly some days. Seems like Meizu have already shipped out invitations for the launch event where the phone will see its unveiling.
The same report also revealed that the phone will carry a Helio X25 SoC which also revealed, the looks would be very much identical to the Pro 6.
In the specifications department apart from the processor chip, there's not too much that's been revealed so far. However, if GSMarena reports are to be believed, the phone would arrive in a dual-sim with Nano-SIM being the standards.
The display panel being a super AMOLED (which is commonly seen in Samsung smartphones) would be about 5.2 inches in size with a pixel density count of 424. It is also protected by Corning's scratch-proof Corning's fourth generation Gorilla glass. Meizu's proprietary Flyme UI v5.6 would be seen on the phone which also supports 3D touch.
The phone supposedly would run on Google's previous year's Android Marshmallow OS v6.0 with a gigantic ten-core processor alongside a Mali GPU to power the graphics of the display. There doesn't seem to be expandable storage with limited storage options being 64GB with memory capacity of 4GB.
The phone however includes a fingerprint sensor alongside others and also is equipped with a reversible USB-C port. There seems to be fast charging too but however the technology of the same isn't available yet. Till then, users have to wait and watch as to how this phone would turn up at the launch event.
