Blink and you'll miss it, but at the start of this new teaser trailer for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" fans are treated to an image not previously seen.
The establishing shot of the clip sees the camera swoop over what appears to be a gathering of The First Order (a.k.a the new bad guys, a.k.a an Imperial Force) with who appears to be their leader (Andy Serkis' character, maybe?) raised on a stage in front of an army.
As one of the most highly anticipated films in recent memory, fans are going to obsessively pour over every frame of footage Disney and Lucasfilm release for "The Force Awakens." Whether or not that will produce some legitimate insight remains to be seen.
All that is known at this point is that director J.J. Abrams will blend a bit of old with a lot of new and that "Star Wars" fans should be excited for what is shaping up to be a quality addition in the galaxy far, far away.
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will hit theaters on December 18.
