A pregnant woman from North Carolina who vanished an hour before she was due to give birth via C-section last Tuesday has been found.

Carrie Bradshaw-Crowther was spotted by local deputies at a gas station in her Mazda MPV in the town of Boone after she used her ATM card at a CVS on a Monday.

When a deputy approached her, she simply said "I am Carrie." The 42-year-old was then rushed to the hospital for evaluation, WSOC reported.

Bradshaw-Crowther vanished from her North Carolina home an hour before she was due to give birth via C-section for a high-risk pregnancy.

Her mysterious disapperance had left her entire family in a state of panic and local police officers baffled about her whereabouts, The Examiner reported.

Bradshaw-Crowther's daughter, Lauren Lusk, revealed that she had spent a week with her mother, helping her prepare for the imminent arrival of the baby. Lusk was told by her mother to fill up the car with gas before they were supposed to head to Charlotte for the delivery.

"When I got back, she was gone. The lights in the house were off, the door was unlocked," Lusk said in an interview with NBC News.
