Yesterday, actress Jamie Lee Curtis got into a serious car crash and was taken to the hospital for injuries, TMZ reports, and fellow star and friend Jodie Foster came right to her aid at the scene of the accident.

The accident occured yesterday morning in Venice, Calif. in a high-traffic area. Curtis was not driving, but instead a passenger in a black Yukon SUV that crashed into a BMW. A fellow passenger was also taken to the emergency room along with Curtis, both of them riding in two separate ambulances following the crash. According to TMZ, the other person's injuries were more serious than Curtis's.

According to a witness, Curtis called her Oscar-winning friend Jodie Foster after the accident, who immediately came to her aid. Photographs from the scene showed a shaken-up Curtis speaking to police officers and Foster about what happened, debris from the crash littering the road. According to the Daily Mail, Curtis's injuries were minor and she is now back home recovering.

While Curtis and Foster have not appeared in the same movie together, they've each starred in two different versions of Disney's hit "Freaky Friday," Foster nominated for a Golden Globe in 1976 for role as daughter Annabel Andrews while Curtis played the mother opposite Lindsay Lohan in the 2003 remake.
