The Internet's new obsession: a new Chinese app called Huanshi or MyIdol that turns you, and just about anyone, into a hilarious dancing character.

However, the app's navigation can get a bit tricky, as the only thing English about it is its name. But this does not prevent anyone from enjoying the app, as users are saying the confusion adds to the fun.

MyIdol starts with the app asking you to take a selfie or scan an existing photo in your phone. The app will then create a 3-D version of you - which may not look like you at the beginning because the avatar will sport the default hairstyle and wardrobe. You can easily amend this by tapping the clothing button, wherein you can then customize your look by choosing a specific skin tone, hairstyle, eye color, shirts/tops, pants/bottoms, shoes and more. You can even customize it further with different facial reactions, tattoos or even age. Once you have decided that your avatar is pretty or handsome enough, you can then exit to the main menu.

All the fun can be found in MyIdol's main menu. Here, you can get your avatar to perform different antics such as singing, dancing, playing the guitar or drums and even crying. You can then download the video or gifs into your phone, ready to be shared to your friends and even into your social media accounts.
