Hundreds of corgis hit Huntington Beach in California for the SoCal Nation Summer Beach Day to raise money for the Queen's Best Stumpy Dog Rescue.

The annual event had a costume contest, photo ops, surfing contest, limbo and an award issued to the corgi who travelled the farthest to attend the corgi beach day.

More than 600 corgis made it to the beach day on April 11 for the cause, reported AOL.

"I decided to do this because we had a real tight group of corgi lovers on social media and we really wanted to kind of take it from the social media atmosphere and really make a tangible event where we could meet in person," Dan McLemore, organizer of the corgi beach day, told AOL.

The hundreds of corgis filled the beach, frolicking through the sand and enjoying the beautiful 60 degree day.
