We were already told “Fast and Furious 7” was headed to the Middle East. However a casting calls puts filming for the new movie in Dubai, according to Emirates247.com.

The Los Angeles casting call read, “FF7 Productions in association with One Race Films and Original Film are now in pre-production on the action crime thriller feature film ‘Fast and Furious 7’ and casting calls will be going out in Los Angeles for starring, co-starring, and supporting roles.

“Shooting will also take place in Tokyo and Dubai.”

In addition, according to the casting call locals from Tokyo and Dubai will have a chance to get into the movie.

“Extras will be cast near the locations where filming will take place,” read the notification. “Principal photography commences September 2013.”

Earlier this year, Vin Diesel confirmed the movie would be shot in the Middle East. However a location was not specified until now.

According to Diesel, “Fast and Furious 7” will be the first in a trilogy of movies.

Director Justin Lin, who was at the head of the last four films in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, will step away and Justin Wan (“Saw,” “The Conjuring, “Insidious”) will take over. Apparently, the “Fast and Furious” team wanted to take the movies in a different direction.

While Wan is known for his exceptional horror films, that direction will not be a scary one. However, the “Insidious: Chapter 2” director does want the “Fast and Furious” series to be as “intense” as his scary movies.

“The stuff I’m designing, I want my action scenes to be intense. I wanted them to be suspenseful and scary in that respect,” Wan said in a recent interview with CraveOnline.com. “It’s not ghost scary but in the same way when you watch the first Die Hard,’ the action scenes were actually really tense and I know it doesn’t quite fully fit into the world of ‘Fast and the Furious’ but I want to bring some of that flavor to this.”

“Fast and Furious 7” is expected to hit theaters July 11, 2014.
