Charli XCX thinks that Gwen Stefani is a "total badass" and admits to recently receiving a strange gift, according to Music-News.com.

The British singer has made her mark on the charts in 2014 with hits like "Boom Clap" and her collaboration with Iggy Azalea on "Fancy."

Charli received two Grammy nominations for her work on "Fancy." Of her nominations, she gushes, "Um, it's insane! I've been doing those since I was 14, so it feels like I've been waiting forever for this."

As well as performing her own lyrics, Charli doesn't hesitate to write songs for other artists. She recently worked with Stefani and was truly enamored by the experience.

"I just wrote songs for Gwen Stefani's upcoming album. It was an honor. She's a total badass and always will be!' the 22-year-old singer told Us Weekly magazine.

Charli recently performed across the U.S. and revealed that fans there bought her an odd item.

"I just came back from there [America], I did a tour there. I met some crazy ass fans; they gave me some cool presents," she said to BBC Radio 1. "They gave me a Justin Bieber blow up doll and lots of other fun stuff.

"Being in America has been pretty weird. I've been, like, doing dance routines with Iggy Azalea--very random. But it's been good."
