Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic believes the team's plethora of point guards is the reason the offense hasn't clicked like it's supposed to.  Dragic, who can opt out of his contract after the season, could be one of the bigger-name players traded before the February deadline in order to help Phoenix upgrade its frontcourt.

Phoenix is 6-5, and while the offense has shown flashes, the team still isn't clicking on all cylinders.  Dragic knows at least one reason for why that is.

"Because there's only one ball and we're all point guards," Dragic said, via AZCentral.com.  "That's an easy answer.  It's hard.  That' sacrifice.  If (Isaiah Thomas is) playing well, he's going to stay in.  Me and Eric (Bledsoe), it depends who is playing better and who is going to be on the court.  The other guy is going to be on the bench.  It's the way it is.  We need to embrace that."

Playing small ball with three 1-guards is a thoughtful experiment, but it's unlikely to last long.  With help needed in the front court, it would make sense for Phoenix to trade one of their guards.  Dragic makes the most sense to be moved, given his contract situation.  Bledsoe just signed a five-year extension, Thomas's deal doesn't expire until 2018 and Tyler Ennis is on a team-friendly rookie scale contract.

It seems unlikely Phoenix will shell out the kind of money Dragic would want in the offseason.  As opposed to letting him walk for free, the Suns' best move would be to trade him before February for either a talented big man or for draft picks to build with in the future.
