There's a lot of new announcements for fans of "American Horror Story: Freak Show." It was previously announced that actress Naomi Grossman would reprise her Season 2 "Asylum" role as Pepper on "Freak Show."

Now Entertainment Weekly reported that a second "Asylum" character is joining the show and it has a connection to Pepper. Even though FX has not confirmed the news, EW claims that actress Lily Rabe is returning to Season 4 as Sister Mary Eunice. Supposedly, the character is going to help tell Pepper's backstory.

In "Asylum" - which took place in 1964 ("Freak Show" takes place in 1952) - Pepper was sent to Briarcliff Manor in Massachusetts for killing her sister's baby and cutting his ears off. Pepper denied that she committed the murder saying that her sister's husband killed the baby and blamed it on her.

Also in "Asylum," Sister Eunice was possessed by the devil. According to EW, Rabe will make her "Freak Show" appearance in the tenth episode, which is also the winter cliffhanger.

In related "Freak Show" casting announcements, Neil Patrick Harris and his husband, David Burtka, will be joining the fourth season in separate episodes. TV Line reported that the "How I Met Your Mother" star will appear in episodes 11 and 12 as a salesman, while Baurtka nabs screen time with Jessica Lange's Elsa Mars in episode 13.

"He had very specific ideas for what he wanted to do, and I had very specific ideas, so we're working on melding those," creator Ryan Murphy said about Harris' role.

A few months ago, Murphy revealed that "White Collar" star Matt Bomer had landed a guest role on the show. Bomer will appear in episode five along with Michael Chiklis' Dell and Finn Wittrock's Dandy.

"Episode five, we wrote this very strange, odd episode where something really horrible happens," he told E! News. "We've never done this before but there's a seven page scene between Michael Chiklis and Matt, and I texted Matt and told him 'I'm writing this character and said you have first right of refusal. It's really f**ked up.' And he wrote back 30 seconds later, 'I'm in.'"

"It's one of the most disturbing things we've done," he added.
