Halloween is right around the corner, which means "American Horror Story's" Halloween episodes will be premiering soon. The first part of the two-part special, titled "Edward Mordrake: Part 1," airs on Oct. 22 and as expected there will be more Twisty the Clown, lots of scares and a possible murder.
FX released the first trailer for next week's episode in which Emma Robert's character is introduced. Maggie, a fraudulent fortune teller, is seen on the phone saying, "The freaks are everywhere. Even when I close my eyes I still see them."
Twisty makes an appearance on Halloween night (not good) but there's also a glimpse of another clown holding a knife as two small kids cower in fear. It's been rumored that Dandy (Finn Wittrock) will play dress up as the new creepy clown.
"Well he finally meets somebody who to him is the equivalent of a movie star and in his twisted, warped mind represents somebody who lives by his own rules," creator Ryan Murphy told Entertainment Weekly about Dandy's obsession with Twisty. "I think Dandy is a rebel and I think he looks at the clown as a rebel. The clown has his own schedule. He's got that tricked out bus. I think Dandy thinks that clown is a rock star."
There's also been speculation that Dandy could end up being a killer this season. Murphy wouldn't confirm the rumors but told EW that he understands where the concern is coming from.
"Well I think studies have shown that almost 90 people with murderous impulses begin experimenting on animals. So yeah that's part of it," he said. "I love the scene where Dandy goes to the freak show and I sort of think that if the freak show would have accepted him and he would have had an outlet I don't think we would become what he's going to become. So I think that Evan's character is partially responsible for what's going to happen in a weird way."
Also in the trailer, is the first look at two-faced Edward Mordrake (Wes Bentley). According to myths, Edward was a man who was born with a second face on the back of his head. Supposedly, the extra face was evil and told Edward to commit to heinous crimes. The freaks are all afraid to perform on Halloween night because they believe it will stir up the evil Edward Mordrake.
