Warner Bros. unveiled one surprise regarding the “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” production during San Diego Comic Con 2014.

In honor of the Batman 75 exhibit, multiple Batsuits were placed on display on the Comic Con floor. The masks and cowls were placed separate from the suits and attendees spotted Ben Affleck’s new costume.

Affleck’s full Basuit isn’t on display, but the mask and cowl made an appearance in the exhibit. Check out more photos of Comic Con 2014 so far here.

DC Entertainment’s co-publisher Jim Lee recently spoke to Variety about Zack Snyder’s production, assuring fans he will do Batman and Superman justice in the upcoming film.

“Zack is a comicbook fan and draws inspiration from the comics,” Lee said. “He doesn’t need to be given advice. He’s a talented filmmaker. He’s a super stylized visualist. He’ll do stuff no one has ever done with the caped crusader and blow everyone away. He knows how to take the sensibility of comicbooks and do what other filmmakers don’t know how to do”

Lee also commented on why Batman has become such an iconic character throughout the years.

“There’s a primal element to the character,” Lee told Variety. “He’s obviously a human being without super powers. Underneath it all he’s like the knight personified. He’s the personification of justice, the crusader against crime, a normal man that’s pushed himself everywhere possible to become the best crime fighter ever.”

“That’s very aspirational,” he added. “The fact he’s this guy without superpowers and can hold his own against Darkseid and Superman shows that one can accomplish what one is driven to achieve.”

“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” is slated to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
