Lea Michele's new book, "Brunette Ambition," is definitely revealing a lot about the "Glee" star. According to Wetpaint, the 27-year-old actress revealed that she, like many teenagers, had a serious acne problem.

In the book, Michele talked about how her skin problem affected her self-esteem and made her "nearly suicidal."

"You know those kids who become nearly suicidal about their acne, I walked that fine line," she wrote in the book.

Michele recently appeared on the "Doctor Oz Show" and opened up about her battle with teenage acne.

"It was pretty bad. I actually went on Accutane twice, and it's a very intense medicine for your skin," she said on the show. "As you know, it causes a lot of emotional [issues], but it also really changes your appearance in the process of it, making you eventually getting better. And it was so hard."

Michele explained that because she was in the performing business at such a young age and appearance is a big part of it, her skin issues really bothered her. The actress and singer said as she got older her acne got better.

"When this happened to me around my teens, it was really hard," Michele added. "For me, it was very rough. I did everything I could to get it better... I at one point took a black pencil and tried to make them look like birthmarks."

Now Michele said she makes sure to take good care of her skin, eat well and drink lots of water. Also in "Brunette Ambition," she revealed a surprising romance with her "Glee" costar Matthew Morrison.

Michele said that she and Morrison briefly dated before being cast on the FOX show. She famously dated Cory Monteith up until his death in July 2013.

"When we shot the [Glee] pilot, I met Cory Monteith, Kevin McHale, Amber Riley and Chris Colfer for the first time," she wrote, Entertainment Weekly reports. "I had worked on Broadway with Jenna Ushkowitz and Matthew Morrison before. Matt had been a friend of mine for years, and in fact we'd actually dated back in the day for a Broadway beat."

Morrison is now engaged to Renee Puente.
