Warner Bros. finally announced the official title for the next film in the "Man of Steel" franchise. For months fans have been calling the movie "Batman Vs. Superman," but Warner Bros. revealed that the actual title will be "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Cue the memes. Twitter immediately exploded and a large majority of Batman fans really disliked the title. Just check out some of the reactions below:

However, not everyone hated the "Dawn of Justice" subtitle.

"So man of steel 2 is officially called batman v superman dawn of justice. Good title, just hope they can pull off a good film," @LiamMc91 tweeted.

The title was also heavily dissected with some pointing out that Batman's name is first because he could have a big presence in the film. Others thought the title hinted at a future release of a Justice League movie.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will all reprise their roles. Actress Holly Hunter was recently added to the cast but her role has not been revealed.

The film, which is currently in production in Detroit, hits theaters May 6, 2016.
