According to a new rumor, Ryan Seacrest is the only one safe on "American Idol." The show has seen a steady decline in ratings for a while and producer, Nigel Lythgoe is desperately trying to shake things up.

The rumors have not been confirmed but Radar Online is reporting that Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and long-standing judge Randy Jackson might be on their way out. The website said Lythgoe is on the hunt for a "dream team."  The four new judges are said to be Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Pink and Sean "Diddy" Combs.

This will be a huge step for the singing competition show but a completely new set of judges might be the ratings answer the show is looking for.

"There's more drama going on behind the scenes of the show than on the stage, and that's why there's a major overhaul in the works," a source told radar.

The source goes on to say that all the judges are well aware of the low ratings and the fact there is not a "standout contestant" this season is also contributing to the low viewership.

According to the Nielsen Co., "The Voice" and "Dancing With the Stars" had larger audiences than "American Idol" last week.

Another rumor circulating is that executives of the show were considering dumping Carey and asking ex-judge Jennifer Lopez to come back.

The premiere of "American idol" saw a set of ratings with a 6.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic bt has since dropped to 4.3.

Producers expected the feud between Carey and Minaj to draw in an audience but the show's ratings have continued to drop.

"American Idol" execs have not confirmed whether the rumored new judges are true.
