Prince Charles and Princess Diana's marriage was doomed from the start, as evidenced by their body language in engagement pictures.

In their engagement photographs, when Prince Charles could be seen formally resting his hand on Princess Diana's shoulder, there looked to be a lack of closeness, according to behavioral researcher Darren Stanton.

Prince Charles, Princess Diana Awkward in Engagement Photos

The news that Prince Charles was engaged to Princess Diana Spencer made the entire globe happy on February 24, 1981. Looking back, the couple's engagement announcement was not the smoothest, with Charles reportedly saying "whatever in love means" when asked if they were in love. No one could have predicted that the marriage would terminate in such a dramatic divorce in 1996.

When Prince Charles and Princess Diana announced their engagement in 1981, they appeared in front of the international press on the grounds of Buckingham Palace. Princess Diana chose a stylish blue suit that complimented her ring finger's stunning new sapphire engagement ring. While the pair smiled for the cameras, an examination of Prince Charles and Princess Diana's body language in these photos reveals Diana had some "doubts" about the approaching marriage.

"Prince Charles is seen standing behind Princess Diana with his hand on her shoulder - a move that is incredibly telling on many levels. It's not as intimate as one might think for a newly engaged couple, but quite formal, behavioral expert Darren Stanton told Express.co.uk on behalf of Slingo.

According to the expert, Prince Charles did not look to be overcome with joy at the engagement photocall. Princess Diana, who was just 19 years old when her engagement to Prince Charles was announced, appeared to be uncomfortable in the spotlight.

According to Mr. Stanton, Princess Diana's body language in her engagement photographs showed that she felt like a "fish out of water." The wedding was broadcast live around the world, and it marked the beginning of the couple's 15-year marriage.

Prince Charles Accused of Being "Outdated, Stuck in The Past"

Residents in Prince Charles' town of Poundbury are protesting because they are required to preserve deteriorating window frames due to a rigid design rule. More than 200 residents of a utopian enclave in Dorchester, Dorset, have staged a revolt over the "outdated" requirement that all homes have timber frames, claiming that it makes their homes chilly and drafty.

The wood borders were installed almost 20 years ago and are expected to withstand another three decades. Residents have been paying thousands of pounds every few years to get them treated and repainted since they have been in a condition of degradation for some time.

A group of homeowners has launched a campaign to modify the Duchy of Cornwall's severe and "infuriating" laws, which prohibit inhabitants from changing the outside look of their homes, such as painting doors a different color or installing satellite dishes.

The Prince of Wales envisioned Poundbury as a village built around historic architectural types, with stores, places of business, and services all within walking distance.

However, by refusing to compromise the village's "design and community code," the Duchy has been accused of being "stuck in the past." Almost 10% of the 3,500 inhabitants want to replace the deteriorating frames with uPVC ones that look like wood and have been used in conservation zones all throughout the nation, Telegraph reported.

Furthermore, Vladimir Putin's new move has garnered him penalties from the EU and the United Kingdom, as well as reminding the world of a rare remark Prince Charles made about the Russian President.

Putin faced a massive reaction in 2014 after attempting to conquer Ukraine with the annexation of Crimea. The Prince of Wales, who is not permitted to remark on political topics due to his royal status, broke the taboo by comparing Putin to Adolf Hitler, as per Geo News.
