Disney has released its second teaser trailer for the upcoming "Maleficent" starring Elle Fanning and Angelina Jolie.

The first teaser released showed the dark side of the Disney villain, as she taunts Princess Aurora in the shadows of the Enchanted Forest. However, the second movie clip shows Maleficent talking to Aurora, stating "there is an evil in this world and I cannot keep you from it."

Maleficent's intentions aren't made clear, but she did cast a curse on Aurora as a newborn. According to Disney's official film synopsis, Maleficent's past a little more complex than the 1959 cartoon version of "Sleeping Beauty".

Check out the description for Disney's live-action fairytale below.

"'Maleficent' explores the untold story of Disney's most iconic villain from the 1959 classic "Sleeping Beauty" and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king's newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever."

It appears that fans will get a deeper back story as to how Maleficent became corrupted, unlike the cartoon version where you are lead to believe she is pure evil.

However, Jolie's appearance is haunting and the actress admitted to the 2013 D23 convention audience in Anaheim, Calif. she instilled fear in the children on set.

"I'd go over to the children and say hi," Jolie told the crowd. "And they would scream and run off. One little boy actually said Mommy, 'Please, tell the mean witch to please stop talking to me.'"

You can watch the teaser trailer in the video below. "Maleficent" will be released on May 30, 2014.
