The "Star Wars: Episode VII" production might be eyeing Judi Dench for the role of Mon Mothma, according to the latest Internet rumors.

Director J.J. Abrams opened the "Star Wars" rumor floodgates when he confirmed the film's script was finalized and ready to begin production during the Television Critics Association (TCA) press tour.

"We're working really hard and we've got our script and we're in deep prep. Full steam ahead," Abrams told the crowd, Entertainment Weekly reports.

According to multiple reports, filming is rumored to begin in May and many actors have been thrown in the casting mix including Dench.

"The 'scoop' comes from the most recent episode of Big Shiny Robot's Full of Sith podcast. There's absolutely nothing solid to back the rumor up, and in fact, their source, Bobby Roberts, only goes as far to say Dench's name is being discussed," Screen Rant reports.

Dench's association with the film might be a stretch, but the rumors "Breaking Bad" actor Jesse Plemons trying out for a role were validated by Abrams.

"[Plemons] was one of the people we spoke with," Abrams told the TCA press conference. "It's not often that I'm reading about actors I'm meeting. I read articles about meeting with actors and then when I see them it's like, 'Oh, I read I'm going to be meeting with you!' It's usually agents talking with people about things."

Abrams told the TCA reporters he was astonished by the casting rumors circulating about "Star Wars Episode 7", which will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.

"It's amazing to see how many there are," Abrams said. "It's really remarkable. But it's sweet, because it shows that there's an interest in this movie that we all obviously know is there. But it is incredible to see how many crazy things get thrown out that people often write commentaries about how happy they are, or how disappointed they are, about things that are completely false. It's a lot of noise."
