Alcatel might be working on the next flagships for the tech market. Alcatel Pixi 5 (6) is recently spotted in the Wi-Fi Alliance database and is believed to be the successor of Alcatel Pixi 4 (6). The surprising thing is that it five different variants were spotted on the database. All the five variants of the Alcatel Pixi 5 (6) are reported to have already passed the regulatory agency.

According to Android Headlines, the Alcatel Pixi 5 (6) variants spotted on the database has 9008J, 9008D, 9008T, 9008I and 9008X model numbers. The Wi-Fi Alliance does not hint many details, but the WFA filings confirm that the Smartphone will feature 4G connectivity and will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Based on the release of its previous model Alcatel Pixi 4 (6) which was launched in June 2016, it is reported that it will take few more months for the release of Alcatel Pixi 5 (6).

Alcatel Pixi 4 (6) launched in January 2016 sports a 6-inch display featuring a resolution of 1280 pixels by 720 pixels. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm MSM 8908 Snapdragon 210 System-on-Chip housing four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.1 GHz coupled with Adreno 304 graphics chip.  

The device is available in two main variants which include 8 GB of storage and 1 GB of RAM combination, and the other features 16 GB storage and 1.5 GB of RAM combination. It packs an 8-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies. Also, it is equipped with 2,580mAh removable battery.

By considering the previous model specifications and features, Alcatel Pixi 5 (6) is expected to hit the tech market with more powerful System-on-Chip and a better display with a higher pixel count. In addition, there are expectations made that the company will upgrade the front and rear cameras of the phone. Alcatel has not made any official statements on its upcoming flagships.
