Yes, you heard it right! Playstation fans can now enjoy watching up to three channels on one screen at the same time. The reason for doing this, Sony wants to be the first among its competitors such as SlingTV and DirecTV, offering live TV services.

In short, the new feature is named multi-view and it is only available for PlayStation 4 users in the meanwhile. The new feature allows you to watch up to three channels at once instead of switching back and forth for one channel. Those some cases like watching a movie, a sitcom, and an hour-long drama does not make sense to watch at the same time, it does make perfect sense for sports viewers. Indeed, it appears to be the main selling point for Sony to incorporate this feature.

"With March Madness starting next week, this will be a great way to catch several live games at once from TNT, TBS, TruTV and CBS," PlayStation Vue head of product Dan Myers said on the PlayStation blog. "You can also use this feature for any live TV channel available on Vue, such as watching a mix of live news programs or live events at once."

In terms of usage, you can find it from the Guide or Live TV section of the home screen. After you have selected a program, tap the 'X' button on the DualShock 4 controller to start it, while holding the X button will initiate multi-view watching mode. To make things easier, only the main screen (the biggest) in multi-view will play audio. To switch your preferred program into the main screen, you can always highlight it and tap the square button to shift, as highlighted by Digital Trends.

In another note, Tech Crunch reported saying that Sony will integrate real-time sports scores to the service soon, and will allow you to switch off spoiler alerts for your favorite games on the list.
