Huawei, the Chinese tech giant arrived with the new wearable to give tough competition to other rival companies. It seems that company will not leave the wearable's market, as the company launched Huawei Watch 2 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event in Barcelona. The Huawei Watch 2 should take up the other rival smartwatches especially the ruler- Apple Watch Series 2.

Huawei Watch 2 vs Apple Watch Series 2

Build: The Huawei Watch 2 weighs only 57 grams and measures 45mm x 48.3mm x 12.6mm and is found lighter than the previous model. The wearable features a stainless steel body with gorilla glass 3 display. The Huawei Watch 2 comes with a rubber-like plastic "sport" band and Watch 2 classic comes with a leather band. The smartwatch arrives with black, gray with white dots and orange color options.

On the other hand, the Apple Watch Series 2 comes in two sizes, 39 mm and 42 mm length and width measuring to 33mm and 36mm respectively and featuring 10.5mm thickness. The Apple wearable at entry level is built with aluminum and Ion-X glass, whereas, the premium model offers stainless steel or ceramic builds with sapphire displays. Apple Watch Series 2 comes in gold, rose gold, silver and space gray colors and includes elastomer, nylon, leather and stainless steel interchangeable bands.

Display: The Huawei Watch 2 features an AMOLED screen with 390x390 resolution at 326ppi pixel density. The display if the wearable gives sharper viewing experience protected by gorilla glass 3. The Watch 2 is loaded with an 'Always-on display' feature which adds on a low-power "dumb watch" mode.

Apple Watch Series 2 also have the same has 326ppi display but offers a pressure-sensitive display. This feature allows the user to interact with the watch having a technology to differentiate between hard, long taps and shorter, lighter ones. 

Processor: The Huawei Watch 2smartwatch is powered by a Snapdragon 2100 chipset paired with a 2.3GB of internal storage. Also, the watch is incorporated with longer life battery of 420mAh which is claimed to power the wearable for two days without any inconvenience. The newly launched wearable comes with Android Wear 2.0 operating system. Apple Watch Series 2 is powered by Apple S2 chipset coupled with 512GB or 1GB of RAM and the watch runs on Watch OS 3 operating system.

Features: The Huawei Watch 2 is IP68 certified wearable with water and dust protection. The watch supports standalone cellular service, NFC support, heart rate sensor, and a GPS support. Apple Watch Series 2 is also a full water resistant watch and supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The watch is equipped with Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Ambient Light Sensor, and Heart-rate Sensors.
