Samsung, the Korean tech giant, made it fast from the FCC certification to the press release. Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 earlier surfaced on FCC listing. Now, the company made a press release of the device at Samsung Germany website. The device is similarly designed as its predecessor with ruggedness capable of handling the extreme environmental conditions.

According to Samsung Germany website, Galaxy Xcover will be released in April. The South Korean tech giant has made the phone tough, which comes with IP68 certification. The IP68 rating allows submergence of the Galaxy Xcover 4 underwater up to one meter for 30 minutes. Also, the phone has undergone much higher standard ruggedness testing according to the US Military Standard (MIL-STD 810G).

This sort of high standard testing makes the Galaxy Xcover 4 usable in extremely high and low temperatures, which keeps the phone rigid against solar radiation, salt, humidity, vibration, etc. The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 sports a 4.99-inch 720p (1280 x 720) TFT display. In the front face, the phone can be seen with three physical buttons below the display of this phone, whose functions are overview (multitasking), home and back buttons, respectively.

Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 may come with a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz which is not yet confirmed by Samsung. The phone is also featured with a 13MP camera at the rear and a 5MP camera at the front. A non-removable 2,800mAh battery will power the device and Android 7.0 Nougat OS with Samsung's own UI comes pre-installed in the device.

The Samsung Germany's website report also mentions that the Galaxy Xcover 4 will be released in Europe in April having a price tag of €259. There is no further information on the release of the device in other tech markets outside Europe. Stay tuned for more updates.
