After a sensational start at the beginning of the regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers found themselves reeling to consecutive losses. Now, they are just half a game ahead of the Phoenix Suns for the bottom spot in the Western Conference division. Recent reports are saying that they are now looking to trade shooting guard Lou Williams and get some valuable assets in return.

The Lakers have a 10-10 win-loss record at the end of November last year, their best start since the 2013-2014 season where they had a 9-8 win-loss card. The scintillating feat seems to be a sign that Lakers new head coach Luke Walton is steering the team in the right direction.

However, the brilliant performance became temporary as they've only won 9 games out of the last 38 games they have played. Now, the team appears to be heading to an another disappointing season and looks to be in rebuilding mode this early. And part of the rebuilding process is to trade some of their assets and get more valuable assets in return.

And it looks like that one Laker player could be on his way out before the trade deadline. According to Hoops Hype, an NBA official confirmed that the Los Angeles Lakers indeed shopped Lou Williams to other teams and he might likely move ahead of the deadline.

Williams has been always linked to trade rumors for a couple of months. It not that he is an awful player, in fact, he leads the Lakers in points, as he's averaging 18.6 points, 3.2 assists and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 38.5 percent from the three-point range and a decent 44.4 percent from the field.

The Lakers could use his impressive numbers to bring in another young player or a future draft pick from teams who would like to trade for him. Aside from that, he is just making $7 million this year and next season, making him more appealing to teams to wants an offensive player at an affordable price.

Will the Los Angeles Lakers trade Lou Williams before the trade deadline ends?
