With the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" Part 1 being one of the two biggest movies in the MCU, it is only right that Iron Man would also be included in the roster of superheroes for the film.

Actor Robert Downey Jr. has recently confirmed that he is indeed part of the cast for the upcoming superhero movie. He also gave his thoughts on Tom Holland's version of Spider-Man.

Iron Man Included in Avengers 3

In a recent interview, RDJ officially made it clear that he will indeed be reprising his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man. Downey has even teased that they already have a specific date for when to start filming, including some great new that he has not yet been released from his contract at Marvel.

Downey has a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever since day one, having, so far, appeared in seven movies as Iron Man. Three of which were his standalone films.

Upcoming Appearances

Infinity War would mark RDJ's ninth appearance as Tony Stark/Iron Man, as he has recently finished his eighth stint for the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming movie. Downey co-stars with Tom Holland, the third ever actor to be given the web-slinger role, following Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, respectively.

Downey has already made things clear that he does not have any favorite version of Spider-Man in the movies. But he did mention that Tom Holland "is something else."

Holland's role as Peter Parker was arguably the best part of Captain America: Civil War. It also unofficially marked the debut of Spider-man in the MCU.

Downey gives some hints

When asked about his own take on "Spider-Man: Homecoming," Downey simply expressed some immense excitement. He claims that this will be a more modern take on Spider-Man's story. He also mentioned that he was in his best mood while filming his parts for the movie as well.

"Avengers 3: Infinity War" is scheduled for a May 4, 2018, release, while "Spider-Man: Homecoming" is slated to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
