DeMarcus Cousins is having a phenomenal NBA season. In 14 games, he is averaging 26.9 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 33.7 minutes. After having a monster night 2 games ago against the West-leading Los Angeles Clippers as he piled up 38 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals, he went into a sub-par game last Sunday against the Raptors as he tallied 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists.

But despite being considered as the best center in the league right now, he failed to carry his team to victory. In his six seasons with the Sacramento Kings, he failed to lead the Kings in the playoffs. And at 5-9 win-loss record, they are 11th place in the competitive Western Conference.

Cousins is a talented player with size and athleticism. And for his gift to be maximized, he needs to play for a winning team. Thus, rumors about him being traded are still circling all over the internet. In fact, there is a high possibility that Cousins will be playing for a different team before the NBA trade deadline, as per Sporting News.

So, where is Cousins gonna be traded? According to the latest NBA trade rumor reported by Inquisitr, there is a speculated trade proposal that will send DeMarcus Cousins to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Jordan Clarkson and Brandon Ingram. The deal might happen around December 15 since that's the time that Clarkson would be eligible to be traded.

The Los Angeles Lakers is supposed to be in a rebuilding phase this season. But at 7-7 win-loss record, they are currently at 8th place in the West. New Lakers head coach Luke Walton is doing a great job in his first year. D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle is having a breakthrough season.

Russell is averaging 16.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists while Randle is at 14.1 points and 8.3 rebounds. Lakers sixth man Lou Williams was also having a great season as he averages 16.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists.

Because of Lakers early success, rumors say that Lakers priority this season is to reach the playoffs. And acquiring the services of the two-time All-Star Cousins might secure them a playoff spot in the West. A Cousins-Randle tandem down low would pose a lot of problems for opposing teams.

Since they already signed a $64 million contract to starting center Timofey Mozgov, the Lakers could just trade Mozgov or perhaps waiving him. Because if Cousins will play for the Lakers, Mozgov will overpaid for his back-up center role.
