Emilia Clarke, who is best known for her portrayal of the dragon-taming queen 'Daenerys Targaryen' in HBO's Game of Thrones, has recently  joined the cast of upcoming untitled, Han Solo Star Wars movie.

The untitled Star Wars movie will reportedly be a standalone movie on young Han Solo and Chewie and the plot is based on a time prior to the Star Wars trilogy. Director duo, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will not only be directing the upcoming Han Solo spinoff but are also penning the script, reports, Variety.

Emilia Clarke will be seen alongside Alden Ehrenreich, who will play a younger version of Han Solo in the untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie. Donald Glover will also be seen in the movie as a younger Lando Calrissian.

The highly anticipated stand-alone Han Solo Star Wars movie will see Clarke in a dynamic role, however, no announcement about her character has been made. So, fans will have to wait till an official announcement is made.

However, it is sure that she will be sharing screen with Han Solo and Chewie and may also be a part of the duo's adventures. Another theory is that Clarke may be one of the characters that Han Solo and Chewie encounter on their adventure.

No details about the plot of the movie have been revealed, so fans highly anticipate how the movie will take shape and how the younger versions of Han Solo and the other characters will be given shape to be what they became in the original Star Wars movie.

It is also to be seen how the young cast members fill in the boots of the veteran actors like Harrison Ford who has so far portrayed the character of Han Solo.

The Han Solo Star Wars movie's production will start from January and the expected date of release is on May 25, 2018. It is anticipated that Game of Throne filming will be complete by the end of this year for the major characters. So, Clarke's new project will surely not affect Game of Thrones.
