"Star Wars" episode 8 is still more than a year away from its release, however, the fans are eager to know what will happen in the next installment. Now it seems like the fans finally have a little clue about Kylo Ren and Rey's connection.

Recently, a tumblr post by user mummiesandlightsabers claimed that the upcoming 3D Collection Blu-ray for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" includes a special commentary from director J.J. Abrams. The commentary provides an insight into the connection between Kylo Ren and Rey, which is likely to be unveiled in "Star Wars" episode 8.

According to the user, Abrams reveals in the section of the Blu-ray that Kylo Ren and Rey had never met before "Sat Wars: The Force Awakens." That is, they met face to face for the first time during episode 7, however, Kylo Ren has already "heard about this girl before."

This insight into the Kylo Ren and Rey connection gives a hint about what could the fans really expect to happen in "Star Wars" episode 8. May be the movie would also focus on how how Kylo Ren gets to hear about Rey and what thought process he goes through when he actually gets to see her.

According to IGN, Abrams also spoke about the brief moments that Leia and Rey shared during the second half of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." The publication mentions that both of them shared only a few moments on screen, but a bond can be certainly felt between them, possibly because of the Force and Han Solo.

Since Kylo Ren is Leia and Han Solo's son, he may have something to do with Rey as well. It seems like the fans may have to wait until the release of the movie in Dec. 2017 to finally get to know the exact connection between them.

Meanwhile, it is also rumored that Luke Skywalker, who trained Kylo Ren and will possible train Rey as well, will carry no lightsaber in "Star Wars" episode 8. Speculations are high that he may have become too powerful to use a lightsaber, or he may have temporarily abandoned his weapon because of his past failings.
