"Star Wars" 8 will finally put an end to all the questions that fans have about the characters. However, Daisy Ridley recently teased what could fans expect out of the upcoming movie.

In "Star Wars" 8, Ridley returns as Rey, who was the leading character in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Rey's character was introduced all of a sudden in the last movie, and no information about her parentage or family was revealed.

However, "Star Wars" 8 is expected to shed some light on who Rey's actual parents are, according to Ridley. In an interview with The Vulture, the actress did not spill the beans about her true parentage in the movie, however, she did not deny the rumor whether her character is related to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

A number of theories have emerged so far, claiming to reveal Rey's true parents. Some of these theories suggests that she may be related to Jyn Erso, a character played by Felicity Jones, who appears in the movie "Rouge One: A Star Wars Story."

However, the most popular theories are the ones that claim Rey to be related to either Luke Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi. In "The Force Awakens," Rey is shown to possess strong force abilities, indicating that she may linked to either of the Jedis introduced in the previous movies.

The publication asked Ridley whether Rey has something to do with Obi-Wan Kenobi, to which she replied that everyone will have to "sit tight" to find out. However, she did no deny or accept the rumor, indicating that some bit of it could be actually true.

Rey could be Luke Skywalker's daughter or Obi-Wan Kenobi's granddaughter, however, none of these rumors have been confirmed. However, the only confirmed thing is that revelation of Rey's true parentage will alter the course of the rest of the "Star Wars" episodes.

In an interview with Screen Rant, "Star Wars" 9 director Colin Trevorrow revealed that the story of Rey's family is going to be "deeply and profoundly satisfying." No matter which plot "Star Wars" 8 decides to follow, the truth about Rey's parents is expected to invoke strong emotional reactions from the fans.
