Fans of The Sims 4 will not have to wait longer as 'The Sims 4: City Living' expansion will be making its debut on Nov. 1. This is surely reason enough to rejoice but more fireworks are also in the offing as the DLC is speculated to have pets and seasons.

A lot more content might also be coming in winter as one The Sims developer has hinted at the same, reports iDigital Times. While the holiday celebration pack will be hitting the market in the last weeks of December, another yet-to-be-titled Stuff Pack will release sometime afterward. Nevertheless, more goodies might be getting a release in near future in the form of seasons and the addition of pets.

If the Reddit post of a Sims developer is to be believed, two staple expansion packs might be coming soon. The developer, who goes by the name of SimGuruDaniel, has posted a cryptic message on the popular forum. When a fan asked him if The Sims 4 could get Pets and Seasons, the developer replied that he thinks so but he does not know for sure.

This might not sound very positive but if his past comments are anything to go by, one can easily see the positive sentiments around the staple expansion packs' release. Last year, he had said that there is nothing about The Sims 4 that limits the ability to seasons. If one connects his statements, one can easily see the basis of the speculations.

Meanwhile, 'Pets' and 'Seasons' for The Sims 4 are not new, reports GameNGuide. A request was made pertaining to the same, way back in 2014 when the game was released but nothing happened. However, now the situation has changed. The dismal sales performance of the game is enough reason for the developers to release added content to shore up the slow turnover.

Also, of the two DLCs, Pets stands a better chance as it is more realistic when evaluated on the scale of a realistic wish list. Pets as companions have been already done in the past and adding them to 'City Living' makes fair sense. As for Seasons, it is may prove to be too technical and would require a lot of work as well.
