Grand Theft Auto 6 hopefuls would have been probably confused by mixed reports surrounding the game. While it was recently reported that Rockstar had cancelled GTA 6 to give more focus onGTA V or its another game franchise, there are also speculations that the game would be released sometime in 2018-2020.

Rockstar, however, seems not interested in calming the wave of confusion soon considering that the developer is not confirming anything about GTA 6. Whereas Mirror Online earlier reported an official fiscal report from Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent publisher, which hinted that more exciting games are coming, it does not specifically shed light on whether or not GTA 6 is in any process of development.

"Rockstar Games also is hard at work on some exciting future projects that will be revealed soon," the report stated, as the media outlet quoted.

Fans need not to worry, however. The lack of details for GTA 6 does not necessarily equate to the game's cancellation considering that GTA is such a popular game. As iTech Post noted, the success of the entire GTA franchise would make it impossible for the developers to discontinue its existence, hence, fans will get GTA 6 but it will be later than sooner.

As per the report of Neurogadget, the chances that Rockstar would reveal details for GTA 6 will likely to happen during the 2017 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas. The lineup of the E3 game exposition, however, is not known at this point but fans are hopeful that Rockstar would announce GTA 6.

The media outlet further noted that the supposed 2017 E3 announcement of GTA 6 does not necessarily mean that the game is to be released sooner. GTA 6 might not likely to hit the stores earlier than 2018 but the release might likely be in 2020 alongside the launching of Xbox Two and PlayStation 5. Apparently, Rockstar is planning GTA 6 to be in the new console format and, as such, will be the first game to ever come with the next-generation consoles.

Fans, however, should treat this news with a pinch of salt considering that Rockstar is yet to announce official details about GTA 6. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
