Final Fantasy 7 Remake is true, despite no recent updates from Square Enix.

Square Enix excited fans and gamers when the company announced of a Final Fantasy 7 Remake during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in 2015.

However, the excitement and hype soon diminished as no updates have been made since then. The video game remake did not even make any appearance in E3 2016.

This leads to some fans concluding that Final Fantasy 7 may already be cancelled.

Though, Final Fantasy die-hards should not weep just yet.

Recent reports say that Square Enix has intentionally been tight-lipped to avoid taking away the limelight from Final Fantasy 15. The developer also wants to do things realistically as promoting the game will ignite the fans to expect and speculate more.

Game Informer discloses that the Final Fantasy 7 remake is to be released in staggered. The video game will be divided into three segments in the story, intended to be full-scale games.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake producer, Yoshinori Kitase, said that their team is thinking of patterning the remake after Final Fantasy 13. He also added that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake provides opportunity to go beyond the story, world and experience.

The producer further justifies the decision for a three-part video game of the remake by saying that the format will enable the team to expand the original Final Fantasy 7 Story for the epic enjoyment of die-hard fans and new ones.

Since the video game is a remake, fans are expecting the storyline not to depart from the original Final Fantasy 7.

However, Kitase together with the same people involved in all Final Fantasy franchises, say that nothing is untouchable when it comes to the storyline of Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Although, Japanese video game producer assures fans that they are not going to change everything.

The first story of Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be released on 2018. The second and third installments of which are expected to be launched a year apart from each other.
