HBO's Game of Thrones is the one show where anything can happen. What type of show it is to kill off almost all of its main characters in a very brutal way? But that is the beauty of the show and exactly why fans are so into this fantasy series.

Of course, there are a few mainstays who just would not die. Remember Arya Stark who survived multiple stab wounds and was even able to kill an assassin?

There also some characters who, at some point or another, take an indefinite leave of absence from the show or even die. But then, they show up alive in the following seasons. Jon Snow famously died in Season 5 in the hands of his own brothers in the Night's Watch. However, he was brought back to life in Season 6.

But the biggest mystery in the missing character list will have to be Gendry, King Robert Baratheon's most famous bastard.

Last time that fans saw Gendry was when in Season 3 when he was helped by Ser Davos Seaworth to escape from the hands of Melisandre. The Red Priestess planned to sacrifice Gendry to the Lord of Light or in other words, burn him alive. His last scene was when he was rowing away to King's Landing.

After that, Game of Thrones fans have been theorizing that Gendry will play a significant role in the show. Some fans even predicted that he would appear in the Battle of the Bastards in Season 6 because of the fact that he was also a bastard of one of the show's important characters. Three seasons after, Gendry is still nowhere to be found.

Joe Dempsie, who plays as Gendry in the show, recently attended the AsiaPOP Comicon Manila in the Philippines. As expected, the actor was bombarded with questions regarding his character in the hit HBO series.

Dempsie then said that one way he would love to comeback in the show would be by "saving Jon Snow and his beautiful hair from imminent death."

Could this be a hint that Gendry will finally row back to Westeros in Game of Thrones Season 7? Stay tuned.
