Square Enix's much-anticipated "Final Fantasy XV" is ready to launch on schedule as the game is now on its data lock phase. Previously, the Japanese gamemaker teased fans with the first 40 minutes preview of the game in the one game event.

During the Active Time Report broadcast from the Square Enix Cafe in Akihabara, Tokyo, Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata missed the beginning of the broadcast as reported by Dual Shockers. His lateness is due to his supervision of the important phase for "Final Fantasy XV" - the data lock phase. This phase marks the beginning of the game's finalization, since after this phase no further changes will be made to the game data, except for critical fixes.

The game is scheduled to arrive on November 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. During the one-hour long Active Time Report broadcast, Tabata also revealed that the game is ready and he expressed his confidence that the game will be on schedule, WCCFtech has reported.

Previously, Square Enix teased fans in the British biggest game event, EGX. The gamemaker livestreamed a 40-minute trailer of the game to the audience in the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham, as reported by Game Rant.

The game catches up from the story of its prequel movie "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV," where the crown prince of Lucis kingdom, Noctis Lucis Caelum, is on his journey to Altissia to take back his country from the Niflheim Empire. He is accompanied by his friends Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Scientia and Prompto Argentum. The four of them are the main cast in "Final Fantasy XV."

Gladiolus Amicitia, is prince Noctis' childhood friend, Ignis Scientia is a military tactician, while Prompto Argentum is Noctis' friend from his teenage years. In order to travel the planet Eous, they have two modes of transportation. One of them is a black convertible called Regalia identified by its license plate RHS-113, and the other one is a flightless bird called Chocobo, which is common throughout the "Final Fantasy" universe.
