Although "Rick and Morty" Season 3 updates have been quite low for a while, fans are ecstatic in lieu of recent news that the show's creator is targeting a release ahead of schedule.

As per the report by Ecumenical News, fans are holding on to Mr. Poopy Butthole's revelation in the finale of "Rick and Morty" Season 2.  While the next season will likely be released sometime in spring 2017, it might come sooner than expected.

Citing an earlier announcement in Magic City Comic Con, the same media outlet stated that "Rick and Morty" creator Dan Harmon revealed that the series is most likely to premiere before 2016 ends.

Harmon teased, "I think Season 3 is...we're targeting around the end of this year."

Fans, however, are getting anxious considering that Adult Swim have not released any update yet regarding the airing date of "Rick and Morty" Season 3.

On the other hand, Game N Guide reported that viewers could expect a clearer and confirmed schedule of airing by the end of the year.

With the revelation comes a spoiler as "Rick and Morty" Season 3 would give focus on the development of Beth's character.

In the recent season, Beth's marriage with Jerry was quite bumpy considering the latter's irresponsible behavior towards his family.

Rumors have it that Beth and Jerry might undertake a divorce. The same media outlet further noted that one of the factors for this marriage hiatus is the new job of Jerry in the Galactic government.

With that being said, "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will apparently include emotional hurdles and personal challenges in the storylines.

As of the moment, no definite air date was announced. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
