George R.R. Martin, the genius behind the creation of the 'Game of Thrones' universe is probably the most  popular writer to date, thanks to the huge success that his A Song of Ice and Fire novel series has received.

However, things are not all too positive when it comes to the next book, as a lot of people are getting bored of waiting for The Winds of Winter.

Release of The Winds of Winter is Postponed

Based on reports that are circulating the web, the highly anticipated sequel to his novel series will not come out this year due to the various distractions that distracted George R.R. Martin in finishing his soon-to-be masterpiece. The hype continued to build up despite the lack of reliable reports supporting the claim that The Winds of Winter will be coming out this year. All of these speculations turn out to be untrue.

The real deal with The Winds of Winter is that the book sequel will be released to the public next year, specifically on March 9, 2017. In order to prove the aforementioned release date, the publishers of George R.R. Martin publicly stated that the 2016 release is false. To further back it up, Amazon France has already removed this year's launch date.

The Winds of Winter Up for 2017 Release

What seals the deal for a believable 2017 release for The Winds of Winter are the words that are coming out from George R.R. Martin's mouth which translate to the fact that he is still a lot of months away from finishing and finalizing his book sequel.

Based on a report by Ecumenical News, it is very evident that the release postponement is due to personal reasons. On the other hand, Parent Herald says that the postponed release is due to the busy schedule of George R.R. Martin's public appearances.

Whichever the case maybe, George R.R. Martin's The Winds of Winter will be out in no later than 2017 next year.
