During the 68th annual Emmy Awards, Sophie Turner - best known for her role as Sansa Stark in the hit HBO TV series Game of Thrones, has just revealed her newly acquired tattoo. She is now the only one to have a new identity marker, but her co-star Maisie Williams got one as well. Williams plays the role of Arya Stark.

The tattoo on Sophie Turner's body is marked with the date, "07.08.09". This is the date wherein the two actresses learned that they are going to be cast in major roles for HBO's Game of Thrones.

Sansa and Arya Stark Gets New Tattoos

With this, it just shows how the two Stark sisters are having their fates intertwined with the TV show and how they have grown to love Game of Thrones as well as their characters. Truly, their roles have become a part of their lives, and will forever be.

Turner told E! during the red carpet event, "We've always kind of said we wanted matching tattoos. We don't know if we're going to make it, so Maisie and I were like let's get these ones before anyone kills us."

This gives us a hint that the two do not really know what will happen to them in Season 7 of the Game of Thrones, making the speculations more exciting.

What's in it for Game of Thrones Season 7?

Regarding any hints on what viewers can expect from Season 7 of Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner says in delight that she was indeed left baffled and "speechless" when the scripts were shown to her. She adds, "This season is unbelievable, I think fans are going to be really satisfied."

With the new tattoos these much-loved characters just had, HBO's Game of Thrones would surely get the chance to go past the success that Frasier - a classic Emmy Award-winning TV seriesm has had, as it will most likely win three Emmy awards. If this turns into a reality, then Game of Thrones would be the most decorated TV show in the history of Emmys.
