Sony launched its new smartphone Xperia X Compact at IFA 2016. The pre-orders are now available in the U.S. at 499.99 USD along with 50 USD credit on checkout.

The newly launched Xperia X was on pre-orders in Europe and some other countries soon after its announcement at IFA 2016 Berlin. The fully featured pack of this new smartphone from Sony is reported not to arrive until Sep. 25.

According to Phone Arena, the U.S. e-commerce and cloud computing giant Amazon provided an option of pre-ordering the new unlocked version of Sony Xperia X Compact for 499.99 USD.

The smartphone available for pre-orders in the U.S. is featured with all the specifications as launched in IFA 2016 except with the fingerprint sensor/scanner, which is disabled through the firmware. It is reported that the fingerprint scanner can be enabled by flashing a different ROM. Users, who are in need of the fingerprint scanner can go for the option provided by Sony with regards to ROM.
