Released just roughly two weeks ago, buyers of the new iPhone 7 have already came across a strange defect on the gadget. Reports have appeared online that the device is making audible hissing noises when it is under heavy load.

Buyers said that when iPhone 7 is pushed to do multiple apps at once, it makes a faint hissing sound that some may hear when the gadget is put closely to the ears.

This defect was first noticed by Stephen Hackett, in which he pointed out in the blog, 52 Pixels that his iPhone 7 Plus emits noises as it was restoring from iCloud.

He stated that the noise was possibly coming from the phone's CPU and that the sound gets worse if the device is under load. The noise was, according to him, loud enough that it can be heard even when the phone is at the table and he doesn't need to put it near his ears to hear the sound.

Several reports of the iPhone making hissing sounds has surfaced online following that of Hackett's initial post.

As of this moment, Apple has yet to speak about the issue and people are still unclear if this hissing sound is experienced by all owners of the new device or just several of them.

An iOS developer posted his thoughts about this, saying the phone noises may be happening for a good reason but it's still unfortunate and ungraceful for him.

He wrote, "It's the phone equivalent of hearing the fans spin up loudly whenever your Mac's CPU gets used to its actual potential."

Some are saying this could be on the processor's problem while some suggest maybe the hissing sound is kind of a cooling system for the device.

Meanwhile, owners and future buyers of the iPhone 7 are awaiting confirmation as of this moment for Apple to release an official statement regarding the issue.
