Apple's little helper, Siri, has been making the lives of iPhone users easier for years now. The tech giant even regularly updates Siri to answer in a witty and vernacular way, much to the entertainment and delight of Apple users.

Now, Apple is cooking more surprises with Siri.

The Silicon Valley tech giant is partnering with some companies to make Siri more user friendly and helpful. The newest operating system of Apple, the iOS 10 and SiriKit for developers will allow Siri to integrate itself in some of already existing applications like Uber, Lyft and others.

What is SiriKit?

SiriKit is Apple's way of helping developers. The tech giant is paving the way for developers to create ways on how users can have an interactive experience with their applications through Siri.

With these developments, users can already request a ride on Lyft even without actually opening the application. You can just request Siri to book a ride for you, hand-free.

Want to book a ride with Uber, instead? You can also do this by telling Siri to book you an Uber, specifying your destination.

In both of these instances, Siri will then access the app for you, even telling you how long you have to wait for your ride and if you want to pursue with the booking. You can then choose to proceed or cancel the request.

Other applications where this interactive communication with Siri is on the works already are mytaxi (Europe based application) and Didi Chuxing (available in almost 400 cities in China).

Your favorite personal assistant in iOS 10 also makes it possible for you to call someone in Skype, hands-free, without even opening the app.

Apple wants to make the lives of its users easier and hassle free and SiriKit is the next step for the company. With SiriKit and cooperation from the developers, the interaction with Siri can already be limitless.
