Apple's newest flagship smartphones, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, made a debut their debut to the world last September 16. However, some buyers were a little bit disappointed because they were not able to buy the iPhone that they wanted.

The tech giant had already issued a warning to their customers prior that the company will be entertaining those who pre-ordered first. This meant that the stock in the stores will already be reserved to those who ordered in advanced and that some iPhone units would be unavailable for on-the-spot buyers.

Needless to say, those who were listening carefully to Apple's announcement were all-smiles that day as they receive their pre-ordered iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

If you are one of those who are planning to buy the new iPhone 7 but are still undecided, then maybe some statistics will help you make up your mind.

Slice Intelligence data reveals that Apple buyers prefer the iPhone 7 Plus more than the smaller iPhone 7. Online pre-orders expose that 55% of buyers prefer and actually bought the iPhone 7 Plus compared to the 45% of iPhone 7.

This is a first in the history of Apple since previous launches of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus reveals that buyers before still prefer the smaller iPhone model. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S have 65% and 59% market shares compared to the 35% and 41% of their Plus models.

Black is still the most popular color with 69% while buyers prefer the new middle internal storage, 128 GB with 67%.

The surge in iPhone 7 Plus pre-orders is mainly attributed to the dual lens camera available in the Plus model but significantly absent in the smaller iPhone 7.
