The iOS 10 is ready for downloading. Apple's new operating system has some engaging features for all users.

However, a precautionary reminder is in place before updating. People using the iPhone 5 or the iPhone 5C and other older versions should have a wait-and-see approach.

Cases of phones freezing have been experienced. Although Apple has already released a fix, giving it some time will definitely help. For iPhone 6 and newer units, updating is a go.

Perhaps, it is vital to tackle matters which seem impossible to do with the previous operating systems. First, stock applications can now be deleted. If in the past, built-in apps remain untouched on the screen, tapping and holding on an app icon will remove it.

However, messages, health, safari and the clock app are some that cannot be eliminated. Re-installing deleted apps can also be done through iTunes.

Second, a new "raise to wake" feature functions exactly as it says. Notifications can be checked by simply picking up the phone and with no buttons to push.

However, this feature is only available on the iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, iPhone SE and other new models. Disabling it can be done through the display and brightness section of the settings.

Third, the iOS 10 has more than a hundred emojis to choose from. According to Apple, there is no excuse for not being able to find a colorful picture that matches an individual's mood or feelings. The options include male and female versions of the emojis.

Fourth, another quick feature has been added to the new iOS. Accessing the camera can be done even with the screen is locked. A single swipe to the left sets the camera into action. Although the iOS 9 also makes the function easier to use, access to the photo library is blocked.

Fifth, Apple has given SIri extensive functions which mean that the digital assistant will be able to handle other applications. Some of the apps that can be controlled by this feature as of the moment include LinkedIn, Slack and Lyft. Users can expect to have more third-party integrations in the future.

Moreover, Apple's comprehensive campaign to have more 3D touch functionality, the iOS 10 allows users to 3D touch on any app and share an App Store link of that app with friends.

With regard to photo sending, an option to send lower quality images when using the messages app has been incorporated in Apple's new operating system, iOS 10.
