The next episode of "The Young and the Restless" will bring with it a heated confrontation, exposure and unbridled passion as Billy and Phyllis' affair has been exposed. The CBS soap opera is going through a highly dramatic phase and the good news is that head writer Sally Sussman has also returned to the show.

Spoiler reports from Celeb Dirty Laundry suggest that Jack will finally get wind of his wife's affair and he asks Phyllis to tell her how it all started. She confesses that she slept with Billy and it all began on the night of the storm. Jack is furious after listening to her story and recalls how she could not make love to him on his birthday.

Phyllis, later, tells him that Jill knows about everything. This makes him even more disdainful of her and he thinks that Billy dumped her because of this very reason. He forces her to admit her love for Billy and Phyllis accepts that she fell for him. However, she acknowledges that she regrets it all and says that she wants to make things right again but Jack leaves her, crying alone.

At the athletic club, Ashley tells Neil that he will have to handle the foundation interview alone as Jack will not be able to make it to the venue. Jack surprises everyone as he arrives suddenly and tells everyone that he will be going ahead with it as he made a promise and intends to keep it. Later, he starts dwelling on his addiction, struggles and then eventually spills the beans about his personal life, revealing to everyone that his wife cheated on him with his brother.

In other news, it has been reported that former head writer, Sally Sussman is all set to return to the show, reports TV Line. The veteran writer shares an illustrious past with the CBS soap opera and helped the drama's writing staff win three Emmy nominations and recently, she also won an Emmy and her second Writers' Guild of America Award.

Her return is expected to bolster the ratings of the show as she is a pro in the art of soap opera storytelling.
