"Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada is engaged to Los Angeles Dodgers' Carl Crawford. Lozada made the announcement on Christmas Day sharing an Instagram picture of the enormous ring with the caption "YES!"

"I'm overjoyed and in complete and utter shock!" she told People magazine. "What a different year and a half it has been - I'm truly happy!"

Her rep told the magazine that the 37-year-old reality star had no idea Crawford was planning to pop the question and when he got down on one knee "it took Evelyn by surprise."

The massive, 14.5 carat-diamond sparkler was designed by celebrity jeweler Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills. He also designed the engagement ring for Gabrielle Union.

"Carl has been a longtime client of mine and I knew immediately that he was really smitten and in love and wanted to make a statement that would light up the Christmas tree as well as the bride-to-be," Arasheben told People.

The jeweler said the ring was designed specifically for the VH1 reality star and Crawford looked at about 15 different stones before picking one. He also hand-picked mounting. Arasheben delivered the finished product to the baseball player in Arizona and says "his face just lit up when he saw it. You could tell they're very much in love. He was excited and nervous."

In November, Lozada revealed that she was six months pregnant with her second child. She already has a 20-year-old daughter named Shaniece from a previous relationship. According to TMZ, Crawford and Lozada have been dating for at least a year and the baby was planned.

"I am so excited to announce a wonderful blessing - I'm pregnant," she told People at the time. "I'm excited about being a mommy all over again. This is something I've been waiting for years and I can't believe it's finally happening."

Last year, Lozada filed for divorce from Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson after just two months of marriage.
