After a few months of not hearing any news about the possible features of the Tesla Model 3, the guys at Teslarati has recently received a report regarding the possibility  that a so-called "Supercharger Credits" will be offered to existing Model 3 owners and reservation holders.

Teslarati hinted that they find the latest tip quite surprising. This is so since it was the first Supercharger access information related to the Model 3 that they received since Elon Musk's announcement. According to Musk, Supercharger access will not be offered for free to owners of the company's current mass market sedan.

So, to verify the authenticity of the information, they started browsing Tesla's own "MyTesla" page which is exclusively available to existing Tesla owners and reservation holders. It was revealed that the page provides the Model 3 depositors with a new section dubbed as the "Payment Method" found beside the Tesla-red "ADD CREDIT CARD" button.

Upon inspecting that particular portion of the HTML it was found out that a commented code referencing the "Supercharger Credits" exists. The code is believed to be a placeholder that the developers placed to indicate a portion that they are not ready to present. But it will eventually be revealed on the page in the future.

By un-commenting the code, Teslarati explained that a new section marked as "Supercharger Credits" will then appear below the button intended for the add credit card option.

Given this information, a lot of tech experts were convinced that it is possible for Tesla to offer future divers and owners of Model 3 the option to directly purchase any amount of energy from the company's Supercharger network that they can afford.

It was announced that Tesla is planning to offer Supercharging as one of the Model 3's optional package. But the newly-acquired information somehow proves that the company is indeed planning to solve the problems caused by Supercharger congestion. This is through the implementation of a pay-per-use payment scheme that the other charging networks have already adopted.
