Amid speculations, Apple remained silent on the release date and specs specifications of the rumored iPad Mini 5.

With the silence, iPad enthusiasts believed that the tech giant cancelled the much anticipated coming of iPad Mini 5.

But the IBTimes published that the launching of iPad Mini 5 will likely happen before the year ends and will probably take the stage alongside iPhone 7.

It is also said that the tablet will be renamed and marketed as the iPad Pro Mini.

The report added that iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini 5 will either be dropped, undergo a complete overhaul, or be merged to form a smaller iPad series.

Since the iPad Pro remains a top choice among consumers of Apple products, rebranding the iPad Mini 5 to iPad Pro Mini can be a good alternative.

In the event that the theory is true, it is possible that the launch of iPad Pro Mini or iPad Mini 5 will probably take place in September. It is also possible that the device will be equipped with iOS 10 and faster A9 processor, making it a step ahead of the A8-equipped iPad Mini 4.

The upcoming tablet will accordingly feature an advanced 12 MP camera or an improved version of the 8 MP camera fitted in the older iPad Mini models. It is also believed that the upcoming model will have a more powerful front-facing camera.

The iPad Mini 5 will reportedly come with a long list of advanced features like the capability to provide more complex multitasking functions, quick notification management and 3D Force Touch on its touch screen.

But amid all these assumptions, Apple is yet to announce the important features of the iPad Mini 5. If it does, this will definitely change most of the tech observers' existing beliefs.
